Dehlan is one of the biggest villages of the state of Himachal Pradesh, India.〔(''Tribune of India'' ), June 17, 2001〕 The name "Dehlan" comes from the surname "Dehal". The village is situated on the border of Punjab and near NFL Nangal. Dehlan is an entry for going to Una, Dharamshala, Mandi, Hamirpur and other places in Himachal Pradesh. The village is divided in two Gram Panchayats, namely Lower Dehlan & Upper Dehlan. This sepration is marked along the link road from Nagar Panchayat Mehatpur-Basdehra to SH-25 through the village near Guru Ravidass Temple. In the village there are people of mainly Hindu and Sikh communities. Only a few families belong to the Muslim religion. In the upper panchayat people belong to mainly Sikh religion. In the lower panchayat there are Hindu Brahmins, Sikhs and some Muslim families.- Recently Dehlan is in news as it is adopted by Sh. Anurag Singh Thakur, sitting MP from the Hamirpur seat under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna. ==References==
